USB faults Seems that after a certain period of time, my USB keyboard drivers decide to spaz out and lock my keyboard up out of the blue. disabling and unplugging it, then plugging back in wont work, and so far only a complete restart will save me. I dunno what the hell is wrong with it. This is the second time I've had to reinstall the OS, the first bout of issues was having to reinstall video card drivers with each shut down or restart. | My System Specs |

I've had similar issues with a home-built PC and it turns out it was because the mobo wasn't all that great and it suffered from heating issues. Sounds to me like you may be a victim of the same issue - could you post some specs so that I can see what you're working with? Mobo, CPU, memory, Gfx, PSU etc would be good. Also the approximate age of the system would be good to know.
Thanks! | My System Specs | | System Manufacturer/Model Number Sony Vaio VGN-FZ3400E OS Windows 7 x64 CPU Intel Core 2 Duo T7250 @ 2.0ghz Motherboard Laptop, Sony. Memory 3Gb Graphics Card nVidia 8400m Gt |

it's all in my profile, and it's a brand new PC, maybe a month or so old. Cooling is not an issue, it runs fairly cold with what I've got in it. The mobo came recommended from a few friends, and got decent reviews, so again, not worried about that. | My System Specs | | System Manufacturer/Model Number Custom OS Windows 7 Ultimate CPU FX-8150 @ 3.6ghz Motherboard Crosshair V Formula Memory 4x4gb Patriot Division 2 1866mhz Graphics Card XFX 7970, Powercolor 7950 Sound Card Razer Megalodon Monitor(s) Displays Samsung Syncmaster 206BW, Samsung Syncmaster 920Nx Screen Resolution 1680x1050 Keyboard Logitech G19 Mouse RAT 7 PSU OCZ700W Case Antec Lanyboy (Blue) Cooling Corsair H100 Hard Drives Seagate 500gb, 2x1tb WD Caviar Black RAID 0 Internet Speed Fast enough. Well you say your having trouble with your keyboard yet you only listed it in your specs as USB keyboard. So a little more information on the keyboard would be nice. And if it came wot a driver Cd and what Os the Cd is for. this Will all help in trying to diagnose the problem Thanks. Dell L100 USB keyboard. But. It happens with both my PS2 keyboard and the USB one. No driver CD, as 7 seems to hunt down drivers on it's own. | My System Specs | | System Manufacturer/Model Number Custom OS Windows 7 Ultimate CPU FX-8150 @ 3.6ghz Motherboard Crosshair V Formula Memory 4x4gb Patriot Division 2 1866mhz Graphics Card XFX 7970, Powercolor 7950 Sound Card Razer Megalodon Monitor(s) Displays Samsung Syncmaster 206BW, Samsung Syncmaster 920Nx Screen Resolution 1680x1050 Keyboard Logitech G19 Mouse RAT 7 PSU OCZ700W Case Antec Lanyboy (Blue) Cooling Corsair H100 Hard Drives Seagate 500gb, 2x1tb WD Caviar Black RAID 0 Internet Speed Fast enough. If it were just a USB issue, I imagine that might help more, but it's both a USB and PS2 keyboard issue. | My System Specs | | System Manufacturer/Model Number Custom OS Windows 7 Ultimate CPU FX-8150 @ 3.6ghz Motherboard Crosshair V Formula Memory 4x4gb Patriot Division 2 1866mhz Graphics Card XFX 7970, Powercolor 7950 Sound Card Razer Megalodon Monitor(s) Displays Samsung Syncmaster 206BW, Samsung Syncmaster 920Nx Screen Resolution 1680x1050 Keyboard Logitech G19 Mouse RAT 7 PSU OCZ700W Case Antec Lanyboy (Blue) Cooling Corsair H100 Hard Drives Seagate 500gb, 2x1tb WD Caviar Black RAID 0 Internet Speed Fast enough. Have you checked in your BIOS for settings that might have to do with your keyboard?
