Your Support page : ASUSTeK Computer Inc.
Click downloads for drivers - there are no vista drivers for your audio only under XP does it support a audi driver
    C-Media CMI9880

You can try to install the xp drivers in compatibility mode to avoid the OS mismatch :
To install a driver OR program in compatibility mode - right click the setup.exe file - click properties - click compatibility - check run in compatibility with vista/xp etc - check run as administrator - leave the rest blank. Start setup.exe and install.

It may neeed to be installed thru device manager by locating the .inf file (this applies toW7 also) - http://support.microsoft.com/kb/927524

    A newer version - C-Media CMI9880 Driver 62.64 - Free software downloads and software reviews - CNET Download.com

    Forum Search -
Windows 7 Forums the biggest Windows 7 discussion forum, friendly help and many Windows 7 tutorials that will help you get the most out of Microsofts new Windows 7 Operating System. - Search Results for C-Media CMI9880

Welcome to seven forums: If you type sys info in the search box you can more accurately fillin your system specs. Then click on system information. This will make it easier for others to help you. You can also go to device manager>right click on sound device>properties>details tab> drop down menu> hardware id. Copy and Paste the id string. From this we can possibley find a driver for your sound. Thanks. Fabe
