| | Windows 7 & not installing Graphics Card I've had Windows 7 Ultimate x64 for about a month problem free until yesterday when I got a 9500 GT card so I can play some emulators. In device manager it shows up as Standard VGA Graphics Adapter http://www.sevenforums.com/attachmen...1&d=1266254518 When I try a regular update with downloaded Windows 7 x64 firmware from the Nvidia site this pops up, http://www.sevenforums.com/attachmen...1&d=1266254810 When I try a manual install this pops up, http://www.sevenforums.com/attachmen...1&d=1266254967 http://www.sevenforums.com/attachmen...1&d=1266255802 The Video card is a Nvidia GeForce 9500 GT If more info is needed just tell me what |

| | Welcome to Seven forums: Have you tried dowloading the driver form Nvidia to your desktop>unpack and stop> go to device manager click on update software>browse my computer>let me pick>have disk>browse>navigate to the dl file>click or (double click) the .inf file>click ok>then next> and let it install from their? | | questions: did you do upgrade from XP? if so, you might want to check for a Mobo or BIOS update as your system was working fine with other card, but wont with this one. your BIOS version might have been updated since 7 came out to fix problems with this. Flashing the BIOS though as others on this forum have said should be done only if it will resolve a problem and should be done after everything else is exhausted. |

| | Upgraded from Vista 32 bit...Had integrated gpu before trying to install the Video Card. I updated to the latest Bios about two weeks ago |

| | Hi lonz358, welcome to the forums  You might want to install the drivers for your monitor. I know it sounds silly as your card isn't recognised but i've seen cases where this actually increases the detection of some cards so may be worth a try. Hope it helps OS |

| | I was looking for my monitor drivers but couldn't find them anywhere, The monitor is a Hanns-g HH231 23" and yes I disabled the integrated graphics in the bios |
