Windows 7 & not installing Graphics Card

I've had Windows 7 Ultimate x64 for about a month problem free until yesterday when I got a 9500 GT card so I can play some emulators. In device manager it shows up as Standard VGA Graphics Adapter

When I try a regular update with downloaded Windows 7 x64 firmware from the Nvidia site this pops up,

When I try a manual install this pops up,

If more info is needed just tell me what

questions: did you do upgrade from XP? if so, you might want to check for a Mobo or BIOS update as your system was working fine with other card, but wont with this one. your BIOS version might have been updated since 7 came out to fix problems with this. Flashing the BIOS though as others on this forum have said should be done only if it will resolve a problem and should be done after everything else is exhausted.

Hi lonz358, welcome to the forums

You might want to install the drivers for your monitor. I know it sounds silly as your card isn't recognised but i've seen cases where this actually increases the detection of some cards so may be worth a try.

Hope it helps
