Generic PnP Monitor Driver 64 bit

I have a Gateway LT2106 netbook that I recently purchased. It came with Windows 7 starter. I bought Windows 7 pro and installed the 64 bit version.

Gateway does not have a video driver for 64 bit and the 32 bit refuses to install.

My system is currently using the generic PnP Monitor driver but the resolution will not go higher than 1024x768. This is an issue because all of my windows now have scroll bars for left and right. Grrrrrrr

Is there another generic driver that I can use to get a higher resolution? Any assistance is greatly appreciated.

I purchased the laptop with Windows 7 starter. I had to completely reinstall Windows 7 to be able to get 64 bit (no upgrade available from starter to full version 64 bit). Now that I have Windows 7 64 bit installed, Gateway only offers the 32 bit driver. They do not have a 64 bit driver for this machine.

It is using a default standard one. And the generic one I am using will not allow 1024x600.

When it was running Windows starter, the display was fine. Now that I upgraded the display is not sized correctly.

Sorry if I miss stated the resolution before.

I would have just left 32bit on there given the amount of memory you can use on it.

I went to driver wiz, paid $29 for their software to fix the drivers and it worked. It updated the driver and now my screen is back to normal. I am upgrading the memory to 4 gig. It seems noticeably faster running 64 bit.

I am getting a 2GB stick today. Not 100% sure if it will handle the 4 or not. And the 2GB is way cheaper.
I am in Seabrook, I just love this area!
    Thanks for all your help.
