    Intel PRO/100 M network adapter

    Hello everyone.
I have an Intel PRO/100 M network adapter and I can't find a driver for it, for Windows 7 x64.
Windows XP (32 bit) can recognize it automatically.
Windows Vista (32 bit) does not have built-in drivers for it, but it can get them from Windows Update without me having to search for them.
But Windows 7 (64 bit) can't find them. I have searched everywhere for drivers for my network adapter, but I can't find them.

Does anyone know where I can get a driver for my adapter?

    Here's the hardware ID: PCI\VEN_8086&DEV_1229&SUBSYS_00098086&REV_05

    Thanks

You can use the vista 64bit driver if you install it in compatibility mode. to do that right click the installer>properties>compatibility>check vista

I have tried downloading PROVISTAx64 from here:
Network Adapter Driver for Windows Vista*
But it says that "this package is not supported on this operating system"
I have tried changing its compatibility settings, but I can't. This is what the property sheet looks like:

Rather than using the package to install it just extract the files then go to device manager, select the device and update the driver. Manually install the driver by pointing the update to the files you extracted.

I have extracted the files, and there are 3 directories which contain drivers.
Selecting the first (PRO1000\Winx64) gives me many drivers which are PRO/1000, not PRO/100. If I select any of them, I get a message saying "The driver might not be compatible", so that's not good.
Selecting the second (PROXGB\Winx64\NDIS61) gives me the message "The folder you specified does not contain a compatible driver for your device".
Selecting the third (APPS\PROSETDX\Vistax64\DRIVERS) shows me only one driver: Intel Advanced Network Services Virtual Adapter. So that's not good either.

The page where I downloaded this file said it was compatible with PRO/100 M.
Also, this page: Windows Compatibility center says that the board is fully compatible, no action required.

I'm starting to think that my board might not be PRO/100 M. What do you think?

Have you downloaded SIW Software Information for Windows ?

To check a list of your hardware that is installed ?

SIW | System Information for Windows by Gabriel Topala

It might give us more details on the intel card !

Seems to me, I put an Intel Pro/100 in an older test box for win7, but I am sure it was 32 bit

I made a screenshot of what Software Informer tells me.
    It looks like it's not PRO/100 M, it's PRO/100 +.
Windows 7 compatibility center tells me it's compatible, and no action is required, but I still can't use it

    @sygnus21
That page has 83 results, and the only one for Windows 7 says that the drivers are included in Windows 7 and provides no download link
