For several weeks every time I shutdown W7 with the start menu, the update icon is shown ("installs updates, then shuts down your computer".) But the computer shuts down immediately. This repeats every time. What could be happening?

Hi, First post :) Every time I shut down my computer it updates and installs 2 updates. This takes about 20 minutes. It surely is not the case that Microsoft has updated Windows 7 everyday for the last few weeks. Is there anyone having the same issue, or can help me at all.
