Windows 7 - Driver updated annoying feature

I updated my Synapsis Touchpad PS/2 driver to whicever one is the latest.

Now, it is gettin annoying. Whenever i start to drag something, i have to click again to stop draging it, and same for highlighting, and scrolling.

Any ideas on the feature that this is and how to turn it off?

PS: if anyone can tell me a FREE screencapture program, i can record what i am talking about.

Hi cclloyd9785,

Have you checked in your Mouse control panel? I have a different driver (ALPS) but there's an option to enable/disable "Drag Lock" and I'm guessing your Synaptics touchpad has something similar. Let me know.

EDIT: It's probably on the "Tapping" tab if you have one in your Mouse control panel.

There is

Tapping > Tab & Drag > then 2 options - Enable, and Locking Drag.

I tried both enabling and disabling both of them and It doesnt work.

go back to the 13.0 driver. i updated to the 13.2 driver from hp website and had all sorts of problems. could not stop "enable tapping " and control panel gave error message when trying to open device manager. rolled back driver and all was fixed. have a hp dv7-2185dx laptop.

I dont have an HP, i downloaded my driver from the synapsis website. By the way, when i rolled back the driver, windows found it corrupted, and i couldnt access the mouse control panel, so i installed the new one again.
