Sony visual camera not working on w7 64

Guys, I am going crazy. I installed w7 64 bit and my sony vaio vgn-cr590 camera does not work. I have tried everything. Contacted support and they told me a lot of stupid stuff. Under the device manager the sony visual camera does not appear. I don't know what to do. I really need my camera. Do you have any suggestions?

    Thanks

    Hi.

Have a look on your devices support page for the driver and software.

There are camera drivers on the ftp site (about 6) - ftp://ftp.vaio-link.com/PUB/VAIO/ORIGINAL/

Here are a couple of replies for the camera from one of my threads -

I got my camera working!!! I'm not exactly sure what I did, but I went to the ftp site and started from the bottom up w/ all the ricoh camera drivers... i jus' installed what i could and then i restarted my computer and presto!

I have CR4000 with 4GB of RAM. I installed a clean install of Windows 7 32 Bit. I originally had a problem with the camera, the Function keys and the card reader. It worked after installing the Sony Shared Library from Sony's support even though this was for Vista it worked with with Windows 7 and then I was able to update the camera and fun keys with the files on Sony's site. The only thing that won't work is to enable the Win XP virtual mood as this needs Bios update that Sony still won't do!

Help getting all drivers on Sony CR4000

To save you searching through 6 drivers try the one on your models support page, where you'll also find there is Windows 7 drivers and software too.

So it is. But being the same series and one letter out, they use the same driver.

Hello Kapi, and welcome to Seven Forums.

In addition for the mean time, if your camera has a media card, you can plug it into a media card reader (if installed) to upload into your computer.

    Hope this helps for now,
    Shawn
