    Multiple Driver Problems

Just got started on Windows 7 this evening, and went through the whole driver troubleshooting and it came up saying it couldn't find drivers for these 3 things, and I have no idea what they are:

    Multimedia Video Controller
    Base System Device
    PCI Simple Communications Controller

I haven't tried my printer yet though, I'll do that tomorrow morning.

Another issue is that it is no longer detecting my tv tuner on windows media centre, where it did on vista. Any ideas on that one?

    System info:
    Sony Vaio VGC LN1M
    3GB RAM
    Processor: Intel(R) Core(TM)2 Duo CPU E7200 @ 2.53GHz 2.53Ghz

If you need any other system info then let me know, and where I might find it.

Those should nave been installed by default.

You don't happen to gave a CD for your motherboard,. do you?

I would go into Device Manager,. right-click on each one and choose uninstall.

No w reboot and see if Windows identifies them.

    No,. they;re not working now.

If anything it will just take you back to the same configuration you had.

Use the unknown devices app from

    Halfdone Development

to find out what that is.

Use HWInfo32 if you need more info for your laptop - the guide in my sig has the details. Use that for updating your drivers too.

Where are you located? I went to the Sony site and it said your model can only be found in Sony Europe site.

Try using the halfdone app to find out what it is and look for some drivers - or post them here.
