    mx 510 Logitech driver issues

I need some help here guys...

i have a logitech mx 510 mouse and it works prety well in the old windows xp 32 bits with the mouseware 9.8 software...but now that i upgrade my computer with some new parts and installed windows 7 ultimate 64 bits i found out mouseware isnt compatible (surprise)....i try to install the set point 4.8 but didnt find the properly link to download, then i find the set point 6.0 at logitech website but, within games, the programeable buttons doesn't work as i programed to ( for example button 7 acting as hotkey F12) is this the death of my mouse and ill need to buy a new one? (considering razer backdiamond btw ) or there is a way to fix this? pls help me .

    fenhrir, welcome to the forums.

Setpoint 6 is a buggy mess, do yourself a favor and uninstall it. You can find 4.8 here,

    Download SetPoint 4.80 - FileHippo.com

that is for the 32 bit version, if you need the 64 bit let me know and I can upload it to Filefront for you.

P.S. Setpoint 4.8 works very well with that mouse in Windows 7, have (now on my wife's computer) the same one and never had a problem with it.

The scroll up and down is the default for those two buttons. Just checked mine and it also don't have a zoom option, don't think that it was ever there (don't know if it was there in iTouch as I never used it when I was using the mouse, always used Setpoint with it).

One thing you can try is to set a hotkey or keystroke for zoom for those two buttons. Not sure if it has it but you can also try uberoptions,

uberOptions: uberOptions: Enable all options on all buttons in SetPoint

and see if it adds a zoom option.

Main reason it happens in Setpoint is that it isn't really meant to be used with the MX510, which would be one reason you aren't getting some of the options that were available in Mouseware (which isn't supported under Windows 7 or Vista). The fact that it does is a small bonus for those that still have a mouse or keyboard that used Mouseware or iTouch and allow them to still have most if not all (most like in the case of the MX510) in Windows 7 and Vista.
