How to install a custom driver?

    Hello.

I'm need to install custom non-pnp driver into system using inf file, but i can't find "Add/Remove hardware" or analogue. There is it in Seven? If it's not exist - how can i do this?

This driver is a part of signal processing for one of the programsm which is vital for me.

    Thanks in advance.

"Add/Remove hardware" isn't that the same as Device Manager?

No. It was a wizard for manual hardware installation (even if hardware is not visible in Device Manager or installed) in previous version.

Try Start - Control Panel - (Show All Control Panel Items) - Devices and Printers - "Add a Device" (left top corner) - find your hardware u want to install - locate the *inf you want to update Next - Next - Next...

    hope it helps...

    It doesn't help, sorry.
My device is non-pnp, as i say, so it not listed in Add Device list.

    Thanks for help, anyway.

PS: I try to copy driver from other machine using DriverMax - doesn't work for this type too.

    Problem SOLVED.

    Problem is SOLVED.

Use <Win key> + R - then type "hdwwiz" without quotes - it brings add hardware wizard.

Glad you have it sorted, you can also just type that in the search bar in the start menu, I uploaded the desktop shortcut if anyone wants it.

    hdwwiz - Shortcut.zip
