    EIZO FlexScan T966 driver

Hello, I have the mentioned monitor (21" flat CRT) and the drivers for it for Win XP don't work in Win 7. If I right click desktop, select screen resolution monitor is listed at T966, but in device manager it is a "Generic PnP monitor". XP driver t966.inf doesn't work because it says " the folder you selected does not contain a compatible software driver for your device" etc. The thing is I want to use the ScreenManager Pro software that came with the monitor and it works but it doesn't detect the monitor (cause there is no driver installed).

I attached the .inf and security catalog, maybe someone can see why it doesn't work, I compared it to an Apple LCD .inf and they are pretty much the same so I don't know why Windows 7 doesn't want it...

Hmm, no... how exactly would I do that? There is an exe file that extracts the inf, security catalog and 3 color profiles into a directory, it doesn't have any form of auto-installation, in essence it has to be done through the task manager so I'm not sure how to do that.

right click on the setup.exe file >properties>compatibility> tick run as vista or xp> tick run as admin> apply and ok> exit , right click on the setup file again and run as admin

But that's the problem, there is no setup.exe. When I download the file from the website there is the "T966inf.exe" but all that does is ask you for a folder to extract the files. It doesn't install the driver or anything. It's like a self-extracting archive. And there is no setup for the actual drivers, just the security catalog, inf file, and the color profiles

from the information i have found , the monitor is very old therefore not supported at all under win7, xp/winNT are the only available drivers for it (which you have got) so im sorry there is not a lot i can do for you , a member with more knowledge than i have may be able to offer a "workaround" for you please be patient and just wait a little while longer

The funny thing is, if I try to manually install a driver and untick the "Show Compatible Hardware" and then get a list of all the vendors, I select EIZO, and there's drivers for around 130 EIZO monitors in there built in right into Windows, all certified as well, they have drivers for the T960, T962, F980, etc., nearly every single EIZO model except for, you guessed it, the T966 (which also happens to be the most powerful one). Now that's luck.
