Firewire drivers: the 'Legacy' one isn't there?

Hi everyone, I'm new here. I just bought a laptop with Windows 7, but already I'm having trouble connecting some firewire device to it (Presonus Inspire audio interface, for your information). Windows won't actually recognize the device. It knows whether or not it's plugged in, but it doesn't recognize it.

Apparently Windows 7 has trouble dealing with firewire, but there's a fix: go to the Device Manager, find the firewire device and switch the driver to the one that has "Legacy" at the end of the name. This fix works for pretty much everyone. Great!

Well not for me, because in my list there's only:
1394 OHCI Compliant Host Controller
1394 OHCI Compliant Host Controller (old version)

The one I'm looking for isn't even in this list! How do I go about getting it? Or does anyone know of another fix?

Yeah I downloaded that one, but the problem is not with the hardware or anything PreSonus did. Firewire does not work like it's supposed to with Windows 7, and regardless the device I'm trying to connect to the computer, the computer has to learn to deal with firewire.

I have a firewire scanner that works just fine under Windows 7. Point being firewire works under Windows 7.

It seems that the problem is the drivers themselves for the PreSonus isn't being recognized by Windows 7. In short the drivers might be the problem.

Here's my firewire properties in Device Manager...

I have also troubles with Presonus Inspire. I have a HP pavilion dv6, Core i7. Win 7 64-bit. I have the drivers installed and the device is recognize by the system. But when using the Inspire with my audio programs I always get the error messages that the sound device can not be found or it is not working properly.
