| | Webcam not working after Win7 x64 Install in Sony Vaio I have a Sony Vaio laptop ( Model #: VGN FZ240E). I recently installed Windows 7 Ultimate 64 bit on my laptop. Now my built-in Motion Eye webcam (vgp vcc8 from Ricoh) does not work. I tried downloading the drivers for Windows 7 from Sony's website but when I install them, I get a message saying "This upgrade is for Windows Vista only". Can someone please help me figure out how to fix this problem? Any help would be deeply appreciated. Thanks Sony Vaio User |

| | I have finally fixed it!! After trying everything you could possibly imagin the only thing that worked to get my camera working again was downloading and installing a driver for the vgp vcc 8 from Ricoh. Even though it wasn't the exact driver for my model and it was for windows vista for some reason it worked! So I would recomend atleast trying it. All I did was google the driver. |
