    Nvidia geforce driver help

    Hey everyone

I have a 2year old HP pavillion with 2.10GHz, 3GB, 320GB, Geforce 8400M GS specs. I recently upgraded from the Windows Vista Home premium 64bit to Windows 7 Ultimate 64bit and can not find a good driver for it. This was assement was redone after installing the latest driver from Nvidia. I tried using the Vista driver but it didn't help. As you can see my graphics driver is holding my unit back. Any suggestions are welcome.

I had an 8400gs two years ago and that scored 3.4 in vista so it's about right.

A yes that should be the one I installed it was done last night

B That's disappointing to hear it never got good performance even with vista the score was the same. My dads HP which is a few years older got a big boost in score recently with a different driver so maybe it takes time. Is there anyway to put a different graphics card in?

And even if it was socketed and not soldered good luck finding one, it isn't like a desktop card where you can just get one from any computer retailer. And if you do manage to find one, you won't like the price.

HOLY SMOKES when I bought my laptop it was about $700CDN so depending on the exchange rate at the time your graphics card cost more than my laptop did. Defiantly not worth it I might as well buy another laptop.
