Microsoft IR Media Center Keyboard for Windows XP

I have a Microsoft IR Media Center Keyboard for Windows XP that I am trying to install on my new HTPC running Windows 7 x64. It does not seem to be getting detected by windows because the built-in mouse does not work at all and the keyboard was not working either. I was able to get some of the keys working, but they were not typing correctly. Also like Windows could not decipher what it was.

According to Microsoft, there are no additional drivers needed for this device and I have the IRTrans drivers installed and running just fine.

The device manager has 1 PCI Communications device that did not install, but I do not know what it is or where to get drivers to install it. I tried using the option for Windows to search the web for drivers, but it did not find anything.

Has anyone else run into this problem getting that keyboard to work?
