The driver installs usually tell you to uninstall the old driver first, but I've never done that. I just install the new driver over top of the old driver and haven't had any problems - either with ATI or NVIDIA drivers.

Just download your drivers from Nvidia and they'll automatically overwrite the current ones. Here you go:

    [nvidia][/nvidia]

    Hello Sinbin,

Are you trying to install the latest 197.13 BETA or 196.34 WHQL NVIDIA drivers from here?

I've never had any problems upgrading my graphics driver. I just simply install over the existing, without rolling back to those that were included in W7. The NVidia graphics driver uses a standard installer, so there is no need to go into Device Manager. Just simply run as a normal program. Incidentally, I am using the Beta 197.13 driver, and the installation is exactly the same as for the WHQL drivers.

    Sinbin,

When installing the 197.13 BETA drivers, be sure to allow it to install when you get the prompt about them being "unsigned drivers...do you still want to install".
