This message comes up when trying to install a driver.

"runtime error C://... this application has requested the runtime to terminate it in an unusual way".

I don't even know where to start...

Check the Administrative log for which program is causing the runtime error, then uninstall or reinstall it to try again. There is more about using the log in Troubleshooting Windows 7 Failure to Start.

Report back the program, exact error message (which you can also google to find how others have resolved it), exact driver involved.

Then if necessary continue with the other steps in blue link tutorial including all infection scans, SFC, establishing a Clean boot then reboot, reporting back on these as you go.

Ok, I'll need some time to do it as I got work in a couple hours, but I will report progress as soon as possible! Thanks
