Windows 7: Epson Perfection 1260

Hello all, I am running Win 7 64Bit, i have tried all the drivers available on the epson web site (XP / XP 64Bit / Vista / Vista 64Bit) in every different type of compatability mode... has anyone got an idea how to get this scanner working???

I had a similar issue with 1 of my scanners (can't remember which 1). I had to install the driver under compatability mode, that worked as far as detecting the scanner but then had to 'Update driver software' in device manager (allowing for it to connect to Windows Update) & it downloaded and installed the latest driver & away it went.

Hi BigJon,

I had a look in the Microsoft update catalog and the last updated driver was 2002.

I couldn't get it to work...

I ended up using VueScan, google it!

And now it works fine

@cymrulan. right click on the setup.exe file>properties>compatibility. drop dowwn menuselect Vista?check the box run in compatibility mode. run setup.exe as administrator. Hope this will help or Compatibility Mode Fabe
