I think I did the custom clean install the first time but only until I read someone indicating you can do a format of the drive through windows 7 did I try that and it worked fine as it disposed of vista completely.
And with the INF file I swear to god that when I was trying to replace it before it just wouldn't work UNTIL I did the fresh format. Its like it made it so that it was different file type with the little wheel on the file icon so that it was identical to the driver file.
Thats the problem, their are so many variables in getting a problematic system to run thats its all trial and error until you finally get it. All I can recommend is a fresh install as now everything works and all the trial and error went with it haha...thankgod.
Thanks for your help, but im surprised this has not been given as a solution somewhere on the net as obviously a few other people have this problem and its not that immediately obvious.
