Yep, another alienware M9700 driver post...

I recently upgraded my aurora M9700 from vista to Windows 7 ultimate64x, and am having that horrid driver nightmare all over again. :[
After a few hours of zips and manual install, I have all of the drivers...except
    "Network controller" and "pci modem."

    Kill me?

Alright. Here's what you can do:

Open device manager. Right click on each device. Properties. Details tab. Change dropdown to hardware ids. For each, copy and paste what you see to here. We will find drivers for ya.

Filling out more of your specs would be very helpful.

If you can't find Windows 7 drivers for your devices, you can try installing the x64 Vista drivers. They work a good 90% of the time.

Use Internet Explorer for this only -

    For network:

Microsoft Update Catalog - use 2nd one from top

I'm still searching for the pci modem. I'd normally make something for ya but its a little bothersome (for you) since you're on x64. Give me a little. :)

    You're welcome.

Based on my search and only being able to find an x86 driver for the modem, I'd say you're out of luck on that one. We could probably find a driver for x64 for another modem and mod it, but then you'll be getting into disabling driver enforcement and stuff. Not really worth it.

    x86 only = http://aliendl.alienware.com/Mobile/...m_2.1.66.0.zip

Best bet is to get another x64 compatible modem instead.
