Need Drivers For Acer Aspire 5050  

here is the driver version of the one i got from RealTek- 6.0.1.6083

The driver from Acer is DriverVer=12/01/2006, 6.0.1.5334

Okay now i got the drivers from acer and have version 6.0.1.5334 but still no sound!!!

When i start it up and plug in the head phone i hear static....

We have reached the limit of my usefulness in this matter.

A Windows 7 (32/64 bit) driver package is available on the RealTek website. This should install without problems and should work well. I believe this is what I used when I upgraded my Aspire 5050 to Windows 7 Ultimate x64. It is the first file listed when you pull up the url below, and it gives you the option of three different mirrors where you may download the file. This should work for you, let me know! :)
