    HP1000 Laser & Win7 Home Premium

After reading most of the posts relative to the HP1000 laser, it appears that the only way to get the HP1000 Host Based printer to work is using the compatible XP or Vista settings in Win 7 professional and up to load the HP drivers. The compatible mode is not available in Home Premium. Am I correct in assuming that the HP1000 will not work with Home Premium or am I missing something?? The drivers for the HP1000 are not 64bit.
