Can't download Active x Control for SSL VPN

    Hi All,

Im' hoping someone can help as this problem is driving me crazy and my IT department can't even help. Basically, once I've connected to my SSL VPN, and go to Activate SSL VPN Tunnel Mode it comes up with the below problem:-

FAiled to start SSL VPN Tunnel client. Please check if it is installed properly. You need administrator priviliges on your pc to install or update the Tunnel Client.

My IT department at work are clueless but tell me I should be asked at that point to download the Active X Control. But its not. And I am the Administrator on this computer!! Someone please help as this is very frustrating!!!!

Yes- but the problem I have now is that when I run the SSL VPN and connect, it keeps disconnecting...

Try this method and I am certain it will work.

Installing SSL VPN for Windows 7 (32 & 64 bit versions)
Under the control panel, go to user accounts, and then user account control settings

Disable UAC settings completely (turn slider all the way down to "never notify")

Save settings, and follow prompt to reboot the system

Follow normal SSL VPN install instructions. You will receive a prompt whether you
want to allow the system access to install the software (this is what was being
    blocked by the UAC previously).

Once the install is complete and you are able to see bytes sent and received, log out
of SSL VPN, and reverse the procedure of disabling the UAC settings, changing them
    back to your previous default

Follow the prompt to reboot the computer, and you should now be able to connect

with SSL VPN while the UAC default setting is enabled.

    Good luck.

    32 bit version of IE.

I have found that you cannot install the SSLVPN Netextender software if you are using a 64 bit version of Internet Explorer. For the activex components to install correctly, you must use the 32 bit Version of IE.
