Windows 7 - Lexmark 4300

Lexmark 4300

I'm looking for drivers for a Lexmark 4300 all in one printer. Lexmark don't actually list it on their site anymore but look - it's real! I'm trying to get this going for a friend anyway so we'll see who it goes. From what I can tell it just hasn't got a driver but I thought maybe someone might know better.

Thanks
Bob

i think the only real solution to this is to load the XP drivers in compat mode Compatibility Mode the options are very limited as the printer is obsolete

So with it being a driver (the executable) would I still be able to run that in compatability mode and it wouldn't have any long term affects.

that is correct, there should not be any long term effects , but there is a possibility of not having all the software of the printer working like it did in Xp

Give it a try. However, if you have the means to go out and get another cheap printer, I would go ahead and do it. I wasted 7 hours trying to get my Lexmark 8350 to work with 64 Bit Seven-I ended up going to Walmart and buying a new Canon and it ran without a hitch.
