Download Driver easy at Driver Easy - Auto Detect, Download & Backup Drivers. This program will scan all your devices and find the right drivers for you. Just choose the device(s) and click download. The download speed is slower than using download manager.
After downloading, you can click install. You can copy the driver that the program downloaded for you from C:\Documents and Settings\YourUsername\Application Data\Easeware\DriverEasy\drivers.
This is the fastest way to find the extract drivers for your devices!
Good luck
Hi and welcome to the forums .
Intel offer an auto updater which can be downloaded from Intel® Driver Update Utility for Intel® wireless adapters - Check for the latest driver .
Hopefully this will sort you out.
Oli
visit intels website and download both the driver and the software Intel® PRO/Wireless 2200BG Network Connection Intel® PRO/Wireless Drivers-Only for Windows Vista* :)
Personally, would NOT trust this app.
Downloaded it to try it out. It claims 16 of my drivers are out of date. I then checked each and every one of those -- and every one is the most current version.
From my experience, the BEST way to update drivers is to check directly with the manufacturer of the hardware, not to use one of these apps.
@OP PLEASE post back so we know if your issue is resolved. It will help others find the fix for their notebook. If it is fixed just click on the red triangle and write solved, after explaining how you solved it.Then it will appear with a green check mark easily found by new members.
Also when you have the time please fill in your system specs always helps.Top of page user CP scroll down to edit system specs. Fill in what you know. Especially 32 or 64 bit Windows Seven.
Thanks really appreciate it and Welcome to Seven Forums. Fabe
Hello,
Just writing back to contribute because you guys helped me out and OP didn't respond. As per Pebbly's advice I downloaded that file directly from Intel (her link)....went into device manager and just right clicked on the missing network card. Then pointed it to the v32 folder in the expanded zip file. Done....network is back on and now I'm onto video/sound. Using an HP Pavilion dv4000 with Windows 7 Ultimate. Thanks again for the help :)
