I ran the program and it said it installed, but I have a feeling it didn't. I had the Device Manager open and none of the entries blinked. The program also said it completed successfully but it was so fast It didn't seem like anything got updated. O well...
That's very strange...most of mine are native Windows 7 x64 pci drivers...I performed a driver scan using "Driver Agent" & "DriverEasy"
Its telling me that Intel(R)ICH9M/M-E Family 4 Port SATA ACHI Controller-2929" has an available update but wont let me get the driver unless I pay
1.) what is this driver?
2.) is it worth updating?
3.) any idea how I can fine and install it?

That's mean you'll need 7 drivers....but those v9.6.0.1014 are only the newest.Not sure if this info helps, but the PC chipped to me with Vista stock. Go there and choose "Select your Operating System", the Os 7 x64 (i saw in your specs) then click "Drivers" and at the bottom on Intel Rapid Storage Technology v9.6.0.1014...
PS: Don't take the F6 install......
