    Sony VAIO VGN-AR730E win7 64 bit 8400M GT driver

okay now before you say "use the search" i did + google

ive tried about 7 different drivers for this damn computer for the 8400M GT and none seem to work

i had 32 bit and i upgraded to 64 bit and im having the hardest time ever. i even went to the extent of editing the install file and editing in 8400M GT in it via notepad.

ive tried everything. VAIO points at NVidia and Nvidia points back saying its their fault. this is the only computer i ever had a problem with.

Windows update doesnt even recognize the card so no update came. tried the Nvidia site, and well nothing

i need the exact driver that will work with computer cause it seems alot of people have had the problems with this notebook. needless to say its really annoying.

If anyone can point me in the right direction for this exact driver it would be much appreciated. I also checked the threads on this site too, and it doesnt work gives me a "not compatible with your OS" every drive i have installed from .68 and up.

frustrating. Sorry if some of you think im beating the dead horse here but i really need this. Thanks in advance

    - Download 197.45 for Windows Vista/7 from MS Update

    - Rename nv_whql.inf to nv_disp.inf & overwrite the original nv_disp.inf (don't rename nv_whql.cat)
    - Run the setup

This works on all GeForce 6-300 series (its a welcome for those of us who have sucky OEM driver support)
BTW 197.32 on MS Update can also do this, but 197.45 is newer
