I still can't understand why you would use a RAID configuration for a single drive, but since you seem to finally have the drivers in place...

When a RAID array is set up, normally the first thing the controller does is to initialize the drive to prepare it for RAID operation. At the very least, it usually repartitions the drive so that you can then manually format it in its RAID configuration.

The bottom line is that you may not be able to recover your data. I really hope that you can, but...
