Windows 7: Audio Driver for Sylvania GNET 13001

Hi, I reformatted my laptop the other day. I changed the gOS to Windows XP. All the other drivers worked out fine with the help of windows update except for the audio driver. I've tried realtek, via and other audio drivers but still there's still no sound. When I try to install it with windows update, it says that it cannot install hardware. What should I do?

EDIT: Oh and by any chance, does anyone know what the chipset for this laptop is and specifically for the audio?

Please post the PnP ID for identification and driver. Start, type "devmgmt.msc", press enter. Double click each and every problem device in turn recording the hardware IDs property from the details tab. This will allow me to find the right driver and post it for you.

Expand the cab and use device manager to install.

how do i install it? do i choose reinstall driver?

Start, type "devmgmt.msc", press enter. Right click each the problem device and select update driver software. Then select Browse... and browse to the expanded driver files I sent you.

when i try the browse, it cannot see the file that you sent.

Expand it first. It's an archive that contains the files you need.

Already did. Still says that cannot install hardware.

Exact error message with screen shots please. Are you sure it's not saying it can't verify that it's the right driver?

That is the correct driver. It came directly from Microsoft's driver database.
