Although I had to download the OEM version supplied by DELL because my Alienware M17x R1 uses DELL's proprietary GPU interface it still is the ATi 64 bit version of CCC with the addition of interfacing DELL specifications of the cards. I am currently using the 10.3 version because I saw no real improvement with 10.4, I have 105 downloaded but have not tried it as yet, reports on the Alienware Forum are mixed, some say it has some bugs and others feel it is one of the best CCC's thy have ever used so YMMV. | My System Specs | | System Manufacturer/Model Number DELL XPS Studio 435T OS Vista 64 Ultimate, Windows 7 64 Ultimate, Ubuntu 9.10 CPU i7 975 3.3 GHz Extreme (Factory OC'd to 3.6 GHz) Motherboard DELL provided Memory 18 Gb Tri-Channel 1066 Graphics Card ATI 5970 2048 Mb Sound Card X-Fi Extreme Gamer Monitor(s) Displays Vizio 37" HD-TV Screen Resolution 1920 x 1080 Keyboard Logitech Performance K350 Wireless Mouse Logitech Performance MX Wireless PSU DELL Provided 475 watts Case DELL Cooling 3 fans Hard Drives 1.5 Tb HDD

I installed it over my exising CCC last night after posting. No problems at all yet.Seems to give more control of ATI.I'm on a laptop,so I couldnt tell a whole lot of difference.More options.Seems safe.I'm sure a hard-core gamer would appreciate it. | My System Specs | | System Manufacturer/Model Number Acer Aspire 5517-5427 Notebook OS MS Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit CPU AMD K8/AMD Athlon(tm) Processor TF-20 @1.6G Motherboard Acer Aspire 5517 (Socket S1G1) Memory 2.0GB Dual-Channel DDR2 @ 319MHz 5-5-5-15 Graphics Card ATI Radeon HD 3200 Graphics (Acer Incorporated [ALI]) Sound Card Realtek High Definition Audio Monitor(s) Displays Generic PnP Monitor @ 1366x768 Mouse Gigaware-Wireless PSU Stock Case Stock Cooling Stock Hard Drives 244.20GB Western Digital WDC WD2500BEVT-22A23T0 ATA Device (IDE) Internet Speed HA! |

Yes, that has been the general consensus where the hard gamers are reporting the most usefulness of this, add to this a fix for Unigine's Benchmark and it only drives that point home, I think if you use PhotoShop and Lightroom to manipulate large RAW photo files you will see an improvement as well. | My System Specs | | System Manufacturer/Model Number DELL XPS Studio 435T OS Vista 64 Ultimate, Windows 7 64 Ultimate, Ubuntu 9.10 CPU i7 975 3.3 GHz Extreme (Factory OC'd to 3.6 GHz) Motherboard DELL provided Memory 18 Gb Tri-Channel 1066 Graphics Card ATI 5970 2048 Mb Sound Card X-Fi Extreme Gamer Monitor(s) Displays Vizio 37" HD-TV Screen Resolution 1920 x 1080 Keyboard Logitech Performance K350 Wireless Mouse Logitech Performance MX Wireless PSU DELL Provided 475 watts Case DELL Cooling 3 fans Hard Drives 1.5 Tb HDD

(What do you mean by this? It's all new to me.)In what context do you say this?Gaming?Maybe that CCC. is overkill for the average user?
