Similar issue From what I understand, the card is capable of injection, but I have only read ways to patch the driver in Linux, not Windows. Unfortunately, I don't think a work-around could help me, as I am trying to use the Aircrack suite in Backtrack 4, and injection capability is a must. If it is doable in Linux, I would assume there is a way to do in in Windows as well, I'm just not sure how.
Any help would be appriciated. | My System Specs | | System Manufacturer/Model Number Lenovo Y730 OS WIN 7 x64 CPU Intel P8600 Core 2 Duo Motherboard Mobile Intel GM45 Express Chipset Memory 4 GB 1066MHz DDR3 Graphics Card 512 MB ATI Mobility Radeon HD 3650 Sound Card Intel High Definition (HD) Audio Monitor(s) Displays WXGA+ (1440x900) Hard Drives SATA 320 GB (5400 RPM) |

I believe you can still use the aircrack suite without packet injection, although tasks will take longer to complete. I have the WiFi link 5100 agn card and i was able get the wep key off my wireless router. I did have to leave it run over night to collect the 1.5 million packets recomended for the 128bit key though.
As for patching the driver i think the best place to ask would be the backtrack forums or ubuntu forums. | My System Specs | | System Manufacturer/Model Number Self Build OS Vista Business x64 CPU AMD Phenom II x3 720be @3.15ghz Motherboard Asus M4A77D Memory 2x2GB A-Data DDR2 pc6400 Graphics Card Nvidia EVGA 8800gts (640MB,320bit) Sound Card Creative Sound Blaster Monitor(s) Displays Samsung 226bw Screen Resolution 1680x1050 Keyboard G15 Mouse Razor DeathAdder PSU Rosewill 500watt Case Dynex Cooling Thermaltake V1 Hard Drives Seagate 320gig, WD 80gig Internet Speed 10.0Mb/896Kb |

Intel 5100 Ok, thanks. I'll look around on the BT4 forum and see what I can find. If I come up with any way to get injection support, I'll post the link here. | My System Specs | | System Manufacturer/Model Number Lenovo Y730 OS WIN 7 x64 CPU Intel P8600 Core 2 Duo Motherboard Mobile Intel GM45 Express Chipset Memory 4 GB 1066MHz DDR3 Graphics Card 512 MB ATI Mobility Radeon HD 3650 Sound Card Intel High Definition (HD) Audio Monitor(s) Displays WXGA+ (1440x900) Hard Drives SATA 320 GB (5400 RPM) Intel(R) WiFi Link 5100 AGN packet injection problems?
