Hp1500 Colour laser and Windows 7

    HI chaps,
have upgraded to Windows 7, but there is no driver on OS or on HP site to get my hp 1500 colour laser up and running.
HP have responded and said tough luck we dont intend to provide one, just but a new printer,
    very sustainable!
On MSoft windows 7 compatibility site, MS just say HP1500 Laser Colour = not compatible.
Anyone out there found a solution that works?
    regards
    Andrew

The last known drivers for your 1500 were for XP. There were many who went to Vista only to find out there were no Vista drivers for the printer.

Here is a solution that worked in Vista which I;m pretty sure will work for you as well. Place the CD that came with the printer in the drive. Unplug the printer from the PC, run the CD software and when it gets to the part to plug in the printer cancel it and pull the CD from the drive. Plug the printer back in and tun it on, W7 will search for the driver on the web and won't find it and then give you some options. One of these options is to load the driver from your PC, point it to where you placed the software and XP drivers and it should pick up the driver and load. Good Luck....
