I am having problem since I upgraded my optical drive DVD writer to Blue ray drive make PANASONIC BD-MLT UJ232AS,this drive writing on some media eg it is writing on moserbar rewritable media but not on recordable media,kindly help.
Welcome to Seven Forums drpuneet50. That was fun. The issues I ran into is that apparently that drive didn't come with your PC, it's an Asian only model, and the updates seem to end at Vista. That said, this is what I have come up with. At least a starting point. There is a firmware update for this general problem:
This program will upgrade the Firmware for UJ-232AS to Version 1.01 and the following symptoms are improved:
1. Improve the writing performance for Sony BD-R SL 6x Media.
2. Improve the writing performance for some +RW Media.
3. Blu-ray Drive cannot be ejected sometimes.
But finding the exact doenload is the issue for me, since the update isn't listed on the support page for your model. Have a look at these, and see if you currently have Blu-ray Drive UJ-232AS Firmware Upgrade Program Version 1.01.
If not the updtae will hopefully fix your issue, but correct update is tough:
