    Catalyst 9.4 x64 - Control Center doesn't show up

    Hi.

I use Win 7 r7100. The install of the latest catalyst driver worked fine, and i see the CCC.exe in the taskmanager. Now everytime i try to open the control center nothing happens.
Also the tray icon is not seeable.

    My specs:
    W7 x64 r7100
    P35express
    intel c2d 8200
    gfx ati hd2600xt

    Thanks in advance

    Yes

I installed it as admin. Now i also tried to uninstall it but the uninstaller failes with a message from windows.
Now it does not show up "Programs and features" but it shows still the Catalyst control center in the right click popup.

After that i tried to install the latest version ... i still get the error. I just could install the driver by hand by going to the AMD folder.

    thx in advance

I've had the same problem with CCC with 9.4, I had to re-install it over the old install and it worked fine. I used the new 9.5's on a clean 7127 install and it installed flawlessly.

I just ordered a ASUS EAH4890 Top from the egg and I have never messed around with ATI drivers or catalyst, I have been a Nvidia guy until now. Is there anything I need to know about RC 7100 and ATI drivers

Same boat. Was a hardcore Nvidia guy for years until I recently went with ATI. Glad I did. And that should be a sweet card you have, expect it to be hot on stock air though.

ATI have the same flakey problems NVidia do with new driver builds but the new 9.5 Catalyst package is solid on 7127.

Prior to that, I did run RC 7000 (x64) and had a glitch with the 9.4 release, it wouldn't install the Catalyst Control Center (CCC) and I had to re-install it to get it to 'stick'. The new OS with 9.5 are flawless.

<advice>When your card arrives, don't be too quick to push it. Give it some time (couple of days) to get 'seated' and comfortable. After that, gradually ramp it up and watch it fly.</advice>

same happend to me on 7100 64bit. I went back to v9.3 and ccc worked again. Also, new catalyst suite 9.5 just came out and works as well.
    good luck

I have a very similar problem. But I can't run higher than catalyst 9.3 because my 9550 is not support after that and I'm running 32 bit.

I tried installing overtop, uninstalling and nothing. Although I get the failed status for driver install. So use the win7 default and just use ccc. Still nothing shows up.

Should I try an older vista version of ccc and driver to see if that works? If that still has issues any other thoughts?

Or is there any other way I can get a custom resolution of 1216 x 680 in windows 7 for my tv?
