    Installing Lexmark Driver for P4350

I am trying to install a windows 7 compatible driver from Lexmark for the P4350 all in one but every time I download and click to open I get the following microsoft window:

"An instance of the installer is already running. You may have only one installer running at a time".

I don't know what the installer is trying to install. How can I shut it off?

    Any help will be appreciated.

The only thing I can think of is with the Lexmark your supposed to start the driver install with the USB cable unplugged the once prompted plug it in. This might eliminate possibly Windows from trying to load a driver. Fabe

thefabe is correct, I would see if you can identify if there are 2 or more processes running by launching Task Manager and checking Processes where you can shut them down.
It might also be a good idea to run scannow /sfc, to do thi go to start and type that phrase in the box next to start. this will ensure you don't have any corrupt files especially files that are used by the OS during installation.

    Installing Lexmark Driver for P4350

    Thanks for all the suggestions.

I did know about disconnecting the printer cable b4 attempting to install the program.

I checked the Task Manager - nothing running - no help.

I even tried System Restore but it kep saying it could not access one particular file - of course it did not tell me what file.

Contacted MS to see what they say.

Again - thanks for the suggestions.

Did a bit more research and found there are no drivers for your printer in Windows 7 and it is not on the Compatibility List but I dug up a Vista Driver with a go by of instructions to get it operational with Windows 7. The link is Lexmark - United States
