    New Nvidia Drivers

So, I just checked out Nvidia's website for new video card drivers. Their last update was back in April, it seems. The last version was at 197.45, and now it's jumped up to 257.21. It was released on the 15th, and it is now the 19th.

Question is: Has anyone here updated to 257.21 and experienced any problems with the new video card drivers? I have a Ge-Force GTS250, and I'm wondering if getting the new set of drivers is a good move or not, even if I don't play the games they list on their website that get % improvements they did the updates on. So, has anyone tried the new drivers? I'd like to know before downloading them.

Really? That's odd. Oh well. Still wondering if it's a good idea to download new drivers anyway. I'm still using 197.45 for my Ge-Force GTS250. I don't have any of the games on that list for 257 though.

Edit: Forgot to ask, are those 258 drivers for ALL Ge-Force cards, or just certain ones? It's not really giving those details in the information area.

if you don't have any probs and can run all the games you need to , then IMO don't update just for the sake of updating :)

The 258 driver is for Quadro (it's listed in NVIDIA's site under Quadro), it supports GeForce though, but I'd stick with 257.21 for now...
So far, the driver is stable.

May I ask what is the difference between the "quadro" and normal 257.21 drivers?

From experience, the Quadro drivers usually slower. The primary focus for Quadro drivers are for CAD/CAM/Visualizer applications, which most of them will need to use additional drivers like Maxstream (the old version) or custom acceleration/performance driver to accompany the default driver... Other than that, it's the vanilla Forceware/Verde driver...

So basicly the normal drivers are better for gaming? or can you have both of them installed together?
