Dell Studio 1537 Win 7 Drivers needed
Greetings... Driver help needed...
**[Base System Device]** x2 Not located found for Win7 fresh install under Device Manager.
Struggling with my ONLY Win7 upgrade (fresh install on a previous Dell Vista OS) to date. Being this Dell Studo 1537 laptop is my 'newest' computer, Win7 32/64bit doesn't seem to like this one. Win7 64 bit didn't stay stable after only one day with a fresh install from a cleaned/wiped drive.
Had to reinstall to Win7; this time the 32 bit, but still have 2 devices not loading properly under 'Other devices'. States, 'Base System Device' with an exclamation mark.
I have read other thread's on the possibility of audio drivers being doubled; and to disable one...but this isn't the issue. Win7 correctly loaded the appropriate driver and I have not loaded the bloated IDT driver that cuts the sound down.
Basically I have gone through the 'list' on Dell's website and can't seem to locate anything in particular that would satisfy these driver requirements. Any help would be 'greatly' appreciated.
Lastly, this system has been flawlessly stable under Vista; just slow as heck - under Vista's bloat-code. I finally started to procure memory leaks that would drain the battery in hibernate mode in as little as 4 hours; gotta love Vista... So, on to Win7. Unfortunately, Win7 64 bit would freeze/BSOD, you name it... Win7 upgrades on my other two machines have been met with less issue; and they were with older hardware!
Any direction or idea that anyone can share in trying to find these rogue driver requirements would be appreciated.
Thank you all in advance.
