Thanks all for being here, motherboard died last month, I've been running on the old XP drive, but more and more problems popping up there so I've started setting up the Win7 to run things (It's what came with the new desktop from Altex). Hopefully I can stop booting back to the XP drive to run things in the near future, this puts me one step closer. I still haven't started on my ancient HP C1000 (11x17), thats next.

One thing to point out, I discovered awhile back that HP printers don't like working through USB hubs, they like to be connected directly to the computer.

Thought sure I was going to have to buy a new printer, this thread saved it for a few more days/weeks/new OS...
    Thanks again.

Windows 7 Home Premium 64 bit.
I ran Windows Update in Add a Local Printer but there is no HP DeskJet 9-series listed at all.
    Any other suggestions?

Read the second post. There is a driver for the HP Deskjet 930C in Windows update.
