When I look under files for windows some of the files are dated 4-22-09, most of them I would say, why are they not the date I installed it.

I think we better do a repair or clean install with only 2 gbs during instalation. The rest can be added after everything test ok.

4/21 & 4/22 I think was the date of the actual file build compilution.

Why the limit on the amount of ram, that is the first time I remember seeing that for a install. I seen that as a warning when I reading about it.

Hi gang Thanx for the tip about sending Microsoft a help letter, my past experiences with stuff like that, is nothing will be come of it. It will go to some little dude sitting in a cubical, with his finger up his nose, and he will take one look at my e-mail and say ho hum we don't know the answer to that

So I will either figure it out for my self or find some one that can, or hit the delete button on Win 7 RC.

Well feedback I think is more about telling MS that the RC has its problems and they need to look at it some more. As far as the guy and his finger I spose he must put it somewhere. Glad that you are still attempting a fix, Maybe just for kicks reinstall 7000 the last good working version. However that would be just for a moment cause think that expiry date is coming up soon. Rumor has it that a new leak may come soon that could be the ticket. So, endeavor to perceiver my friend. larry

    Hi Larry

Ya I think the first version will expire in August some time. I know all this research stuff does some good, and my experiences might be rare, but I have talked to others too and they have the same problem, never hearing back that they even got the item, let alone doing any thing about it. I think for the time being I will dump this version and do it over again, I need the practice.

This by no means is saying I don't appreciate all your help, all of you. Who said that every time we go to a forum for help that it will be fixed. I guess I was thinking this is such an easy problem it will be a no brainer, it has to be some thing I done wrong. So if any of you think I am upset with the results, I am not at all, if I am upset about anything it would be my ability to fix it. My whole life has been spent fixing things, and to not fix something, just goes against my grain. Only consolation now is that bigger brains then mine cannot fix it either.

    Thanx....Gunny

I agree with you on that. So then have you turned off firewalls on both machines so as to not have one of them blocking the path? Well I know you or Mc did that but just had to through something out of this big brain, ha, pleasure is all mine Gunny, good luck to you.
