I have a quick question, this 32 bit and 64 bit stuff, what is the diff. I see it all the time and my thought is if you have a 32 bit system you run at that and every thing you download like Win 7 you sign up for a 32 b version. But I see so much 64 versions being used, even on older computers.

Quick answer. 64x is the newer technology. If you have 64x capable hardware then you can run the 64x software. If you have 4 gigs of memory or over then it recognizes that fact. 32x hardware and software will only recognize up to 3.5 gigs. Lot more to it than that but that's the Buzz thing right now 4,12,16,24, the more you have the better your computer. Faster? Better? Thats for you to decide. Just the way things are going and if you don't jump aboard you will be left out in the cold? We shall see.

Hi myzr7 Thanx for the explanation, I had a slight idea of what it was. You cleared up my understanding of it.

Well I made up my mind I am going to dump this version and format the drive.

One thing and this is going to sound silly but I think I found out one reason this work work, when ever I go in to the control Panel/printers and devices, should I not see the Win 7RC computer and the XP computer if I am networked with it properly. Well I see this computer the Win 7RC, but not the XP computer. And if I understand this right, I should see it there. So this might be the whole problem, how can this computer communicate with the other computer if it don't see it.

Does this make sense to you.?

Thanx. Gunny

Gunny So you are going to redo huh. Well a new download using IE and then a nice slow burn to iso. Re install on a formated drive. Sounds good. You should see your two pc's by clicking on start then computer then on the lefthand pane, Network ?

We saw both computers when we changed the network to Work Network & MSHOME as the workgroup. What happened?

To be truthful with you I don't remember seeing both computers, I have never seen both computers.

I truly think if we could have ever got the other computer to show up this could make it work.
