And all it turns out to be a simple cable, hard to believe. The cable is one of those male to male A to B types. I have several of them. I am not scared of starting over now, ha ha ha ha Usually a cable works or don't work, to have one act like this is sure surprising. I have had to replace cables before for problems, but this is a first for this. I keep cables around for just this kind of thing. It will be a long time before I forget this one. No wonder you had no good results that other night. Maybe that is why you did not see me last night. I was so wrapped up in this, I lost track of everything.

Well you must feel better too, not having to mess with me anymore, and all you did was good, you missed nothing as to the problem.

    Thanx...Gunny

Glad you got it solved Gunny!

I bought a nice speaker system about a year ago, but it didn't work well at all. So I took it back and got another. I had forgotten to put the cable back though, so when I hooked it up I used the first one. Still didn't work. On a whim, I swapped cables and POW! It worked!

Hey thanx to all of you. I am sure I am not done with this forum, I will come across more problems. I just hope the next one will not be as difficult to solve. You can be sure if it involves a cable that will be the first thing checked. These computers can be a challenge at times, I like that. Keeps the old gray matter from going stale. What would life be with out some rough spots along the way.

    Thanx to you all. Gunny
