Windows 7: ATI Radeon 7000

Hi All,
realize someone asked this before but they resolved it by finding the original CD. I don't have the CD w/ drivers and ATI doesn't offer any drivers for windows 7 64 bit. I tried installing in compatibility mode but it failed. Any generic drivers I can use a workaround I'm not seeing? Best

(The generic VGA driver doesn't allow dual screens and the resolution doesn't fit the screen right at all). Thanks for any help

Hi benjamingrantdu , welcome to the forums, if its the radeon mobility card you have ,then im afraid you are very much out of luck Windows 7 reqs directx 9 and above , your card does not support that you may be lucky and find an archived catylist driver but if you do find one do not expect it to work very well , aero is definitely a no no

You can try these legacy drivers:

merkat106, sorry to say but the legacy driver won't work with the 7000 as there is no support for it or any other card from the 9200/9250 series and down. The last driver to support any of those cards is the catalyst 6.11 from November 2006,

which from what I have seen have been hit or miss as to whether they will install in 7.
