    Drivers And Utilities For Dell

Right, a dell inspiron 1545 laptop, the disk that has the drivers and stuff on it .. is lost so now I need to know which drivers..

The disk has device drivers and diagnostics and utilities

This is mainly for network/internet connection

If you can provide the Service Tag I'd be more than happy to give you the exact drivers and utilities you'll need.

Just a comment, the Service Tag number is considered "personal/private info" and is not allowed on the Dell users forum.

I know, but if he needed help it really is needed to know what actually shipped with the system and he could then remove it, in fact I would have told him to once I captured his system as shipped specs I certainly was not asking for malicious intent. Thanks for pointing that out.

Glad you sorted out the problem too. You should probably hit the scale icon and request the post closed so a Moderator can mark it as solved.

Allowed or not, if you have a Dell, you shouldn't even need to give out the service tag to anyone else anyway. All you need to do is go to Dell's support page and type it in yourself, to see a list of drivers. Those driver discs that ship with the systems are tossed right away anyway, unless I need a coaster for a drink I'm ejoying while setting up the system. I only keep my discs for any included apps, like PowerDVD. The driver discs are likely outdated by the time you take delivery of your system, and don't contain anything you can't get from Dell's website.
