Realtek AC 97 Driver :)
Hello,
I doubt this is a first thread about Realtek AC 97 driver problem when trying to apply it to Windows 7.
A day ago i've installed windows 7 and everything works really fine, expect sound ofcourse. Firstly i used windows updates to download right drivers (never trusted me self too much) and it did download realtek ac 97 thingies, BUT after installation it didn't work - no sound anyway.
So i started to surf in all mighty google and i found many posts in many different forums about people who can't make their computers with Windows 7 atleast to beep.
Well i don't really know what to do, my hand are bound, but i hope that i will find the right answer here.
Some things about my computer (please don't laugh to death):
OS-windows 7 home premium
1gb of ram
Nvidia geforce fx 5500 <--- ancient thing indeed
32 bit OS
and processor: Intel(R) Pentium(R) 4 CPU 3.00 GHz
Oh and about sound card... well i checked some papper on my computer and it was said that sound card is integrated (sorry no idea what it is)
Well, waiting for offers what to do and sorry if i did any mistakes
p.s. I'm absolutely sure that i need simple realtek AC 97 codec or something like that, but not HD for sure. Anyway windows 7 doesn't support latest codecs from realtek.com
And about sound card which is integrated - i'm sure it's fine because tested it on windows xp two hours ago... (had to reinstall windows >.< )
