    Official SevenForums Google Chrome Extension!

    Hello guys,

I am proud to announce that "brink" and "john" have said its okay for me to release this, i have developed an extension for google chrome, allowing quick and easy access to the site.

This is v1.00 at the moment it is very basic, however i have big plans for the extension. One of my plans is to allow a desktop notification every time you receive an update via the site.

Please tell me what you think as this is my first time coding something like this.

Please avoid the posts "oh this is simple" i am aware as i have stated this is v1.00.

That was one reason I voted dislike. It requires me to install Chrome. :)
How is this different than just a Favorite link? Why would I need an add-on?

I'll give it a try when you have it ready for Firefox (30) and IE (10). It would be nice though if you could make it as a taskbar app also. That way I could see if something's there when I wake up my machine.

    A favorite or email notification?

Our home page on both our browsers is our mail client, when our browsers open we can tell right away if we need to divert attention to 7F or let them sit until we're done with other matters.

That's the reason I'd like to see it as an app that sits on the taskbar, if its not showing when I wake up our machine, I can let the machine go back to sleep and work on errands or chores around the homestead.

I use Windows Live Mail and it's the first process I fire up after bringing up the PC or returning to it. If I'm subscribed to a thread, I get an email notice of a new post and can go right to the thread from the link in the email. In IE, I have "Win7" defined on my Favorites Bar and it goes straight to the Forums Index. This works great for me so I don't see the need for another app or another browser so I can use the app. Sorry, I just don't get it.
