Windows 7 - Gadget black error

Quite honestly, this is pathetic. I tried to download the Regedit, it wouldn't download. I close the sidebar process, and restart, nothing. How in the hell could this actually happen? How is it I'm using the sidebars just fine, and all of a sudden, they don't work?

Can someone PLEASE help me get the damn gadgets going again?

I clicked the download button a little down the page, when it downloaded i right click, run as administrator and restarted my gadgets, you may have to close each gadget via its x in top right corner before running and then re-opening the gadgets and chosing the ones you want.
If your having trouble downloading from that page here is the file.

ok, will try, is your problem same or a little different? some on here had black gadgets mine were invisible. I s your problem same or a little different?

right click on task bar, goto start task manager. goto processes tab, scroll down to sidebar. right click and end process (Or left click and click End process switch) it will ask if you are sure, say yes. this stops your gadgets. follow info in my post

now restart your PC. Hopefully that will sort it out.

I had the same problem about six months ago, i didn't want to reinstall windows and eventually found this fix:

Stop the sidebar.exe process. Use regedit and delete this key: [HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Internet Settings\Zones\].

Restart sidebar process.

I saved this in a text file so if it happened again i could repair it without searching all over again.
