    it didnt fix the problem
use regedit and delete this derictories:
    [HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Internet Settings\Zones\

    then restart sidebar process.
I think, problem in last adob flash player update. :)
How do i do a "regedit"? I would so much like to get this prob fixed!
Just type 'regedit' into the search bar and hit enter. Follow lenwar's guidance above on how to search for the key. You should create a restore point first since it sounds like you're not familiar with using regedit.

Thank you very much! I had found many answers to fix gadgets display problem(some messages tell me it is related with IE 9 beta, and un-/re-install gadgets), but only your answer works for me, now all gadgets are back on my desktop.

Thanks for the help. I downloaded the .bat command prompt as Administrator and all was back to normal. This problem only bothered me for 20 mins and Seven Forums came through once again.
