Nice gadget. It's a keeper.
How do you install the latest version 2.0? Do you do a clean install or download over the older one? I downloaded the 2.0 version and nothing happened other than a quick image flash....but the program was nowhere to be found!! I think there are some serious bug issues with the newest version that should have been worked out before releasing it.
Don't know if you HAVE to do that, but I was running 1.9 and removed it before installing 2.x.
One bug I found (on two very different PCs), is that it installs .Net 4.x client -- and doesn't do it right! When you then shutdown the PC, you get an error message. This is fixed by going into Programs, removing, and reinstalling .NET 4.x client manually.I think there are some serious bug issues with the newest version that should have been worked out before releasing it.
I'm running version 2 final now (not the one in the picture).
The changes, as far as I can tell, is that it can be resized to suit. Still quite large when compared to others but I like it.
I ran the latest 1.10 and it has several issues. For one I never see any animations. Second, it uses 3 times more memory resources than the stock weather widget. Third, when it's supposed to hit 12:00 it actually shows 00:00
1.10 is not the latest version, so I don't doubt that you are experiencing these problems... You can change your clock display to a 24 hour format in settings...
It is indeed a great program & gadget as well with nice Weather Presentation (which the Highlight of this program) . With some cons :
1) You can choose weather from MSN or AccuWeather (though AccuWeather normally don't work)
2) Consume lot of space upto 35MB
3) At times you have to keep adding the City as it tend to take NY by default.
Here is the screenshot of my laptop screen with HTC Home:
The version used here is 1.10 as released on 9th Oct'10. 2.0 got lot of issue & its a Beta version.
HTC Clock 3 Beta is out today.
