Gadgets and Show Desktop

So this is a minor one, hopefully...

Is there a way to disable Windows 7 from hiding the gadgets when using show desktop? (e.g. keyboard [Windows] + [D]) I have a mouse button bound to show desktop as well and use it quite frequently--however, hiding all of the gadgets is not what I want it to do... Any info?

Hi,

By default when you click 'Show Desktop' the gadgets should still remain in view. Some ppl say that they disappear by nature, i believe that this is not the case.

I had similar behaviour once and it turned out to be IE 9 Beta causing the gadgets to vanish upon clicking show desktop. Here is the thread >

Gadgets disappearing

Hope this helps

Aha! Any ideas as to how IE9 actually causes this? I'll be uninstalling shortly...

Hi,

I don't have Windows Vista installed to see if this issue happens on it. I know for a fact that the IE9 beta causes the 'show dessktop' to hide the gadgets aswell on both 32 and 64 bit variants of Windows 7.

I also have not installed the Vista Sidebar on 7 to see.

Have you IE9 Beta installed? Does it effect the Sidebar?

Tom
